ACTIVATE SHARED DIGITAL KEYS MORE EASILY.

You can also activate shared BMW Digital Keys without your key in the vehicle – simply by entering an activation code in your BMW.

REMOTE CONTROL PARKING.

The Remote Control Parking feature allows you to remotely control your BMW in many parking and maneuvering situations. This can be very helpful when parking in tight parking spaces, for example. Now you can also conveniently start the parking operation in the My BMW App and specify whether your vehicle should park forwards or in reverse. You can also perform a maneuver previously recorded with the Maneuver Assistant.

EXTENDED MY MODES.

The My Modes product range has been expanded with the addition of the Digital Art Mode. In Digital Art Mode, update-capable artworks will be shown on the display. The vehicle adapts its appearance to these artworks.

CONNECTIVITY.

Amazon Alexa Car Integration: Now available in your BMW.
Use Alexa in your BMW – just like you do at home. Edit your shopping list, check the status of your Amazon order or catch up on the latest news. All while on the go and without having to take your hands off the steering wheel. For example, say "Alexa, put toothpaste on my shopping list". You can now also operate compatible Smart Home devices from your BMW by voice.
To use Alexa in your BMW, you must first complete the activation in the My BMW App and in the vehicle.
Charging cable release via My BMW App.
You have the option of canceling the charging process of your BMW via the My BMW App and of unblocking the charging cable lock.

DRIVING COMFORT & SAFETY.

Assisted Driving: Your assistant in certain traffic situations.
The Assisted Driving function of your BMW supports you in certain traffic situations – for example, in traffic jams or slow-moving traffic. At speeds of up to 180 km/h, your BMW stays in the detected lane thanks to automatic steering interventions and automatically maintains the desired distance from the vehicle in front.(2)
The Lane Change Warning: Your assistant during lane changes.
The Lane Change Warning assists you during lane changes on multi-lane roads. To access, press and hold the turn signal until you meet resistance.(2)
Lane Departure Warning: Your assistant to keep your BMW in its lane.
The Lane Departure Warning assists you in keeping your BMW in its lane at speeds of approximately 70 km/h to 210 km/h. The assistant also warns of possible side collisions by means of steering wheel vibrations, and actively intervenes if necessary. If the system cannot detect a free area around the vehicle, you will be warned by a short steering impulse in the opposite direction.(2)
Wrong way warning: Warning when entering in the wrong driving direction.
In the future, your BMW will warn you when you enter a one-way street or highway, for example, in the opposite driving direction.(2)
Trailer Assistant: Help when reversing.
When reversing with a hitched trailer, the Trailer Assistant supports you by actively steering.(2)
Text Notifications: Customizable ADAS Notifications in the settings menu.
Additional Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Notifications are available to you on request.(2)
Progressive turn signal: Distinctive appearance of your turn signal.
The progressive brightness gradient gives your BMW's turn signal a distinctive and more modern appearance. The change is noticeable during turn signaling, hazard flashing, when the alarm system is triggered and when the vehicle is locked and unlocked.

(2) Use of the system does not remove the responsibility of the driver to assess visibility, traffic conditions and to intervene when needed. The driver should always use caution to reduce the risk of accidents.

Adjustment of maximum speed.
With certain design versions of mounted 23-inch wheels, your vehicle may not be able to fully reach the maximum posted speed, as the legal requirements regarding tachometer tolerance must be met under all conditions.
With the new software, your vehicle will reach the posted maximum speed more accurately, as additional navigation data will be used for speed calculation.
Faster heating dynamics thanks to optimised interior temperature sensor technology.
The current software version of your vehicle can lead to delayed heating of the interior at external temperatures below -5°C/-22°F. The new software ensures that the interior heats up more quickly.
Increased stability of data transmission via eSIM.
The current software version of your vehicle can lead to downtime of the 4G/5G mobile network. In this case, data transmission is slower and audio quality is reduced. This issue is resolved by the update.

SPECIAL NOTES ON THIS UPGRADE.

Note: Motorail train – ferry.

Installation of the upgrade is not recommended on motorail trains or ferries. Vibrations and movements of trains or ferries can cause Check Control messages to appear in the vehicle after the upgrade, but they disappear after a short time.
