Like a precious jewel, it dominates the entire front of the vehicle. At the same time, its elaborate details in the interior lend it a very special depth and exclusivity. Horizontal elements of mirrored crystal are integrated into the ventilation grille like items of jewellery, creating special effects when viewed from any angle. Behind this, and only perceptible on closer inspections, the delicate mesh and the air inlets are composed of many repetitions of the figure 4. With its fine and exclusive character, this very special highlight creates an exciting and impressive contrast to the dynamic design language of the entire vehicle front.

The design language of the BMW Concept 4 demonstrates typical BMW proportions in an ultra-modern and extremely emotional way: flowing, dynamic and elegant. The essence of a BMW coupé. With its flat and low position on the road, the athletic vehicle body is emphasised by the voluminously sculpted rear wheel arch, the muscular shoulder line and the large three-dimensional light alloy wheels. The distinctive rear with its pronounced surfaces underlines the solid stance along with the broad shoulder line and narrow LED lights.
DESIRABLE CHARACTER.
The exciting paint finish in Forbidden Red underlines the character and dynamics of the BMW Concept 4 while lending it a particularly elegant aesthetic. Applied in five layers, the paint finish creates an outcome that tells its very own story. Through its fascinating nuances and impressive depth, the perfect red highlights the emotive surfaces and gives them an exceptionally dynamic character. The light causes curves to glow in a rich bright red while the shadows wrap contours and surfaces in tones ranging from deep dark red to black. Rarely has a paint finish showcased the symbiosis between sporting flair and elegant beauty with such perfection.

Nothing is more attractive than sheer driving pleasure. The BMW Concept 4 demonstrates this with every millimetre of its athletic proportions, the reduced design language and the exceptional Forbidden Red paint finish. Clearly illustrating the fact that this is no conventional coupé is above all the exclusive vertical BMW kidney grille, which, alongside narrow, open LED headlights with laser light, focuses attention on the front of the vehicle. A second glance reveals the figure 4 in the kidney grille behind the horizontal decorative elements made of mirrored crystal; the number appears to recur infinitely and also features in the modern interpretation of the side air inlets. Weather strip mirrors made of polished aluminium accentuate the elegant side. The elongated roof line and the athletic shoulder line along with the narrow, three-dimensional rear lights and the impressive black diffuser give the rear its extremely attractive and sporty aesthetic.
